Overview

Currently, over 90 faculty members work in the department, including 10 members of CAS（WANG Chongyu, CHEN Nanxian, GU Binglin, KUANG Yuping, LI Tibei, LI Jiaming, FAN Shoushan, ZHU Bangfen, XUE Qikun, DUAN Wenhui）, 9 professors of  "1000 Talents Program" (The Recruitment Program of Global Experts), 8 professors of the Chang Jiang Scholar Program, 15 professors of NSFC Distinguished Young Scholars, 12 young scholars of "1000 Young Talents Program" (The Recruitment Program of Global Youth Experts). Many faculty members have received various international and national awards for their research achievements, such as the "National Award in Natural Sciences", "National Science and Technology Progress Award", "National Technological Invention Award", "HLHL Achievement Award in Science and Technology", "Qiu Shi Outstanding Scientist Award", "Qiu Shi Outstanding Scientific Research Team Award", "Tan KahKee Science Award", and so on.
